TLC is in gratitude for this recognition of our work. We are greatly encouraged to see Colorado’s largest foundation make this level of investment to build the long-term sustainability of 15 local nonprofits led by and serving communities of color. In the spirit of reparations, we believe that this level of investment (and greater) is due to many more BIPOC orgs in our ecosystem. We are committed to reclaiming the wealth that was made from the exploitation of our communities - and using it to heal the harm that racial injustice and trauma have caused our people.

As we work towards this, join us in congratulating these 5 other TLC affiliated organizations who received the investment award through the TCHF Equity Collective Initiative.

Apocalypse is not in the future. It is a current c Apocalypse is not in the future. It is a current condition. We are all interconnected, which means we are all, right now, living in an apocalyptic time. We are all interconnected. Denying that, we die. Surrendering to that, we live.” - @adriennemareebrown
This year, Another World is Possible offered rapid response funding to honor the incredible wisdom, resilience, vision, and interdependence that our communities have shown in the midst of these apocalyptic times. In the second year of the fund, we distributed $268,000 to 67 Colorado social justice organizations this year - including 62 BIPOC-led organizations in the TLC community. We are proud that our leadership, rooted in the intergenerational resilience of our ancestors, is lighting a path forward in these times.

We are so proud to celebrate four TLC alumni who w We are so proud to celebrate four TLC alumni who were awarded the Livingston Fellowship @bonfils_stanton this year. Congratulations to Elsa @elsbanuelos, Neha @devineha, Olga @la_og_indigena, Yessica @xytlalliholguin - you all are leading groundbreaking work! This is the first time the Livingston Fellowship selected a cohort of 100% BIPOC executive directors, giving long overdue recognition to our leadership. As in all we do, we would not be here if it were not for those who came before: Gratitude to our fellow TLC family members and Livingston alumni Angell @es_la_reina_ , Deidre @deidre_johnson, Malik @mad_mo1324, Cristina @borderlandsoul - and others - who fought for greater representation and resources for BIPOC leaders. We are glad other leadership programs are acknowledging the wisdom that TLC was founded with - that resources invested in BIPOC leaders always have a transformative and far reaching impact on the organizations and communities we love and fight for!
